Home is more than just a structure or dwelling it is a space of refuge, a place to feel at home is fundamentally integral to our human spirit and a forever longing of belonging to something, someone, somewhere but most importantly to ourselves.

This artwork is about change and growth in your self.

Home should be a place we can shed that ‘somebody that we used to know’ other person we were being and step into a place where we can be our real self.

This artwork is part of the ‘BEING HOME’ series of work.

These artworks reflect the year we all learnt a little more about what it was like to ‘be home’

Our home should be our sanctuary, where we feel our most authentic and safe.

For me personally, having left what was the family home with my daughters and our animals and setting one foot in front of the other relocating and rebuilding our sense of home.

In these paintings, I aimed to capture my own experience of the greater sense of ‘home’

Aussie birds of our backyard, Aussie music, house plants and the warm comforting tea I consume copiously - Just a few of the things that make a home my home and just a few of the things I captured in this series of paintings.

May these artworks invite you to take a closer look at your relationship with your home.
