I believe art can save your life.

Two definitive things happened when I was 5 years old.

My Dad taught me to paint and I took a liking to Annie Oakley.

Dad owned a gallery and I grew up standing by his easel watching, learning, soaking it into all of me.

Annie Oakley was an American cowgirl from the mid 1800’s. She was fondly named ‘Little Sure Shot’ by Sitting Bull (Hunkpapa Lakota Elder - Tatanka lyotake) She loved horses, sleeping under star filled skies, eating on the coals, and had sharp shooting focus, determination and had a daring and disruptive spirit - which as a little girl I could relate to.

But what impressed me the most was her commitment to empowering women.

All these things are still me. 35 years later - I’ve continued painting, seeking a daring and adventurous life and I’m committed to empowering women.

Like many women, I have experienced some big challenges in my adult life - violence, abuse, divorce, grief, and single parenting. One thing that has saved me time and time again was the healing power of art. This brought me to the infallible knowing that art has the power to save your life.

Making art and being moved by a piece of art is medicine for the soul and I am passionate about facilitating that to enable others to live a succinct life being their most authentic selves.

I paint artworks that create a space in homes of women, to support them to find the strength, calm and clarity they need to feel centred and aligned everyday.

Holly’s art makes me feel Alive, Joyful and in my power, everyday

As well as making art, I am raising two equally daring, spirited and creative gals and we live with our wild tribe of animals in the stunning Clarence Valley region of NSW.

Like Annie, we love to ride our horses, sleep under the stars, cook on the coals and paint as much as we can.

Thanks for joining us on the ride.

love, Holly
