Original Artworks Process.

I am very proud to say I predominatly use Australian made art materials and suppliers.

My original artworks all begin with me rolling out a big length of canvas on the floor and with a plan of the colour combinations and a loose theme of the body of work I begin to paint on the canvas in a very free flowing abstract manner, embodying the freedom of colour and making marks.

I use 10oz, Luca premium, primed cotton canvas. Which is finely woven and triple-coated with A graded acid-free acrylic white gesso blended with an anti-crack agent to provide a medium texture painting surface and achieve long term archival quality.

After the initial layer of colour has dried, I cut the canvas up into smaller sizes and with a set theme for the collection, I continue the process of creating the individual artworks. When I get to a place of almost completion, I then stretch the canvas myself, onto high quality, kiln dried, pine frames that are mitre joined and corner braced with a 4cm depth, made locally by Krissi at Maclean Framers and gallery.

I then hang the artworks on the wall and add the final touches until they are complete.

When all original artworks of the collection are complete, I offer them for sale through my website and/ or via galleries.
