This painting is about longing and waiting.
We get home from our day and we go about the things we do... make a cup of herbal tea, check the new growth on the house plants...and we look out to the sky whispering wishes of the things we long for most.

These artworks reflect the year we all learnt a little more about what it was like to ‘be home’
Our home should be our sanctuary, where we feel our most authentic and safe.
For me personally, having left what was the family home with my daughters and our animals and setting one foot in front of the other relocating and rebuilding our sense of home.
In these paintings, I aimed to capture my own experience of the greater sense of ‘home’
Aussie birds of our backyard, Aussie music, house plants and the warm comforting tea I consume copiously - Just a few of the things that make a home my home and just a few of the things I captured in this series of paintings.
