I missed the grand demeanour of the blooming proteas but I felt held by the beauty of the Clarence Valley and my stedfast decision to call it home.
I took carefully slow walks back from the beach, drenched in salt water and tears, stopping only to marvel at the magnificence of the black cockies as they called from the sky. Watching them land in the bouncing branches to crack the macadamia nuts and banksia pods.
I reflected on the journey of the banksia, from hard seed pod to the incredibly unique flower and likened it to the journey I suddenly found I was on.
Holy Spirit makes a way.
